Dynamism, passion and detail-orientation are three powerful expressions that sum up Elsie’s amazing personality. She has mastered the art of making the best of situations and turning difficult circumstances into successful triumphs. She believes that life is what you make of it and invariably needs to be approached with dynamic strategies to achieve optimal results. Elsie upholds that success comes from paying attention to the small things while not losing focus on the big picture.
With 20+ years of extensive work experience in consulting, human resources, change management, learning & development and strategy in both multinationals and indigenous organisations, she has built a successful career that effectively connects practice and theory through applied research. Elsie holds a Master Degree in Managerial Psychology from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Her achievements over the last decade are reflected in the accolades she continues to get from peers and professional organizations. She is a certified HR Professional from UNISA in Pretoria, a full member of CIPM in Nigeria, a professional member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in the United States, the pioneer Secretary of the Learning & Development Network International (LDNI), and a member of the Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychology (SIOP, USA).
Her passion for continual improvement provided a new avenue for her ongoing PhD in I/O Psychology at Capella University in Minneapolis, where she is currently exploring the dynamics of a multi-generational workforce and virtual teams. All of these stem from a dream young Elsie had to make a difference in the world, simply by drawing inspiration from and surpassing the achievements of other women who have previously shattered the glass ceiling. She hopes to one day be inducted into that Hall of Fame.
When Elsie gets off work mode and is not mentoring her growing network of proteges, she is either listening to music, reading or researching. Still, she finds travelling and window shopping to be very therapeutic- don’t be surprised when you tune in to CNN and hear that she was asking for the price of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Her knack for something fast-paced and intellectually challenging with a dash of romance or comedy shows up in those moments when she chooses to watch either 24, Suits, John Wick or Designated Survivor with a pack of popcorn.
